The fish on my profile pic was 8.30 kg and it was caught at Lake View pan. Will get more pics ready as soon as i get back home from the holiday. As for bookings there is none. It is open to the public and is situated on the edge of Welkom at the exit to Bloemfontein. It would be nice to get some members to get together there. These waters can be very difficult to fish sometimes and other times very easy. I sat there at one time and gave it almost everything i had in my box, Then another time only two flavours were needed. It is just never the same.

But yes were is the other Welkom fishermen(women) that has fished the pan.
In the next two months i will be collecting any info and pics of the pan and fish that are caught there. That will give you a better idea of what to expect.

That's a nice selection of species and the sizes are very promising indeed. Look forward to the photo and information on bookings, Tel Nos etc ... Perhaps we can arrange a Meet Up of site members there in the future if anyone interested.

We find common carp, kurper and catfish at Lake View pan. Kurper is still very small where the carp that i have seen is up to 12 kg. Catfish average about 8 kg but i am sure that here is bigger in some parts of the pan.Will soon add a arial photo of the pan.
